As the bailment entry made from the stock card has created a Sale, the payment must be receipted by way of a Customer Payment.
Bailment paid directly to vendor
If the bailment arrangement is for 100% of the purchase price, in some situations the financier will pay the vendor of the stock item direct. You will see an outstanding purchase to the vendor, and an outstanding sale for the bailment to the financier. Create a Contra transaction to apply these two transactions to each other. |
