Sell other items on the consignment vehicle

Dealerlogic assumes that the Net Selling Price only is attributable to the vendor, and that all other items forming part of the Total Sale are income for the dealer.  Record Extras in the normal way, and ensure the “costs” associated with any extras are recorded on the Recon tab as non-recoupable, in order to correctly calculate profit.

When extras are sold on a consignment vehicle, there are 2 resulting Sales Journals:

1.the first is to account for the extras income to the dealership, and is where the money transferred from the Trust account is applied

2.the second is for the entire sale total and is applied to the Consignment Clearing account and is where the Customer Payment is applied.
