You will process this transaction to cancel a current QLD registration. You are only able to process this transaction for vehicles that are owned by the dealership. It is very important to remember that it is an offence to sell a vehicle with the number plates and windscreen label still attached where the registration has been cancelled or lapsed.
1.Open the Cancellation transaction
2.Enter the stock number (if processing this in conjunction with a surrender plate transaction you will find that this is already inserted)
3. A list vehicle comparison will display showing the details recorded in your stock card and those recorded with QT
4.Click OK when you are satisfied that the vehicle details are correct
5.Enter the cancellation date
6.Select the cancellation reason
7.Tick the box ‘refund requirements have been met’ Remember that you should only be processing a cancellation when the number plates have been physically removed from the vehicle. If you do not have the number plates in front of you, then you should not be processing this transaction.
8.Click on Send.
