Entering a purchase in Dealerlogic software requires that a separate payment transaction also be recorded. Transactions linked to stock cards such as stock item purchases or reconditioning purchases must be created as purchases regardless of how immediately the payment is made. Transactions not related to stock cards that involve immediate payment do not need purchases created. Rather you can create the transaction in one step using a Cash Payment transaction. Transactions not related to stock cards that are paid on the due date should be entered as purchases or bills so that the expense can be taken up on the correct date, and so the due date for payment can be reported.
